New York: A six-story building at 116th Street and Park Avenue reportedly “exploded” and collapsed at around 9:30 a.m. Firefighters have responded to a three-alarm fire at the scene, which is visible all the way from midtown. PIX 11 says that there are reports of people trapped in the building, as well as some injuries. The cause of the explosion isn’t clear yet, though Con Ed had been called to deal with a gas leak. Metro-North service coming in and out of Grand Centralhas been halted.
