Tian Chua and Rafizi Barred From Entering Sarawak



PETALING JAYA: PKR’s vice-president Tian Chua and strategic director Rafizi Ramli were barred from entering Sarawak on Tuesday. Both the opposition MPs tweeted that they were stopped from entering the state and were asked to return to Kuala Lumpur. “Flight with @AnwarIbrahim @rafiziramli to Sibu; Rafizi & I were told not allowed to enter Sarawak,” Tian Chua tweeted.

Pandan MP Rafizi tweeted that Batu MP Tian Chua and he were detained at the Sibu immigration office, pending deportation. “Stopped from entering Sarawak,” he tweeted. Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was allowed to enter the state. Earlier on Tuesday, PKR secretary-general Datuk Saifuddin Nasution Ismail was barred from entering the state. The opposition MPs were in Sarawak to campaign in the Balingian by-election that will be held on Saturday.
