“If it can be revealed, we will reveal it,” he said during the routine press conference on the update of the search and rescue (SAR) operation at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) here. Meanwhile, he noted that all panel of inquiries are already in place and that the truth will prevail and will be out there. “Basically, if you’re asking question which is part of the investigations, about the transcript, you must be fair to us because only those who are doing the investigations can give us the OK.” Hishammuddin said at the end of the day, he would be answerable to the royal commission or the parliamentary select committee and to the international inquiry board.
“So we are not hiding anything. We are just following the procedure that has been set,” he stressed. Asked about the investigation information that relates to the interview transcript of the pilot’s wife, which was alleged to be revealed by the police to the United Kingdom based Daily Mail, he said it was not revealed by the police. “And how did Daily Mail get the transcript. You have to ask the Daily Mail,” said Hishammuddin. On the issue of information that was revealed outside the press conference and speculation about the diagram in Google or in any other internet sites, he said he could confirm or discount them. “I cannot confirm or discount. I can only base on what I have confirmed in my PC (press conference). I’m not going to debate about it here. We have our PC every day. If that was something informed by us, I will clarify it,” he explained.
