KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 – Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Trilliant, a leading smart grid platform company based in the United States, on technical information exchange and training. The MoU will allow both parties to explore models to deliver smart grid benefits such as enhanced energy efficiency, improved reliability and energy security to the people throughout TNB’s customer base in Malaysia. “It is vital for Malaysia to ensure affordable, secure and cleaner energy supplies to meet and sustain its economic growth. “Smart grid is an enabler that will help the country modernise its energy infrastructure in the 21st century to meet this goal,” TNB and Trilliant said in a joint statement today. The MoU was signed by TNB President and Chief Executive Officer Datuk Seri Azman Mohd and Trilliant Asia Pacific Managing Director Bryan Spear.
