KUALA LUMPUR, May 7 – Power supply at several areas in six states in Peninsular Malaysia was disrupted for three hours, beginning 2pm today. Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) in a statement issued on Facebook said the disruption in power supply was at Bandar Baru Nilai and Rantau (Negeri Sembilan); Segamat and Bakri in Pagoh (Johor); Merlimau, Masjid Tanah and Jasin (Melaka), Manjung (Perak), Sungai Petani and Kulim (Kedah); and, Prai (Penang). It said TNB was investigating the cause of the disruption and consumers were advised to contact 15454 for any query. Meanwhile, a spokesman for TNB Careline, when contacted by Bernama said TNB did not discount the possibility the disruption occurred as a result of the heavy rain and strong winds this afternoon.
