KUALA LUMPUR, May 10 – A man was killed while five others were injured when shot at close range in Jalan Ipoh, early Saturday morning. Sentul District Police chief ACP Zakaria Pagan said they were eating at a restaurant when a man in a Perodua Myvi approached them at 4.30am. “The suspect took out a semi-automatic pistol and shot at them seven times before escaping in the car driven by an accomplice,” he told reporters here. He said the six, aged 22 to 51, were rushed to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital’s intensive care unit with injuries to the hand, leg, shoulder and cheek but one of them, 38, died upon arrival. Police also found seven bullet casings at the scene and the motive of the shooting was still being investigated, he added.
