PUTRAJAYA, June 6 – Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman is on official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan to lobby support for Malaysia’s quest for a non-permanent seat in the United Nations Security Council for the 2015-2016 term. According to a Foreign Ministry statement here today, during the four-day official visit, he would be accompanied by senior officials from the ministry. Anifah is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Azerbaijan Prime Minister Artur Rasizade and his counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov. The meetings would provide an excellent opportunity to discuss issues of mutual interest, including regional and international issues, and areas of cooperation to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries, the statement said.
