KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 25 – The ringgit continued yesterday’s higher closing by opening higher against the US dollar on renewed buying interest in most of the currencies of emerging Asia. At 9am, the ringgit was quoted at 3.2385/2415 to the US dollar from 3.2415/2435 yesterday’s close. Meanwhile, the local unit was also traded higher against other major currencies. The ringgit was higher against the euro at 4.1388/1433 from yesterday’s 4.1637/1669 and better against the yen at 2.9673/9709 from 2.9840/9869. It rose against the British pound to 5.2881/2943 from 5.3122/3161 and increased against the Singapore dollar to 2.5575/5600 from 2.5606/5640 yesterday.
