SHAH ALAM, Oct 1 – Malaysia Airlines (MAS), in collaboration with local streetwear clothing brand Abstrax Jingga, launched the #FLYINGHIGH T-Shirt in conjunction with the national carrier’s 42nd anniversary today. MAS senior vice-president of strategic communications Datuk Najmuddin Abdullah said the collaboration was a second part of the two series #STAYSTRONG, #FLYINGHIGH social media campaign which garnered a lot of response among Netizens worldwide.
“We are humbled by the support we’ve received worldwide and would like to thank everyone of you who have stood by us throughout this trying time. “We have come a long way since 1972 in delivering ‘Malaysian Hospitality’ across our network and have flown millions of Malaysians home and abroad with this collaboration; we hope to have the support of more fellow Malaysians to keep our flag flying high,” he told a press conference here.
Meanwhile, co-founder of Abstrax Jingga, Dr Faiz Izwan Anuar, said the T-shirt was exclusively designed and produced with the aim of uniting Malaysians, making them proud of the country while keeping the flag flying high. “By the end of this year, we aim to sell around 5,000 to 10,000 #FLYINGHIGH T-shirts to our customers. “We have received a lot of orders from local customers and also from countries like Singapore, Brunei Darussalam and Egypt,” he said.
