KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 13 – All sets of questions for the Form 3 Assessment (PT3) test which began today until Thursday were prepared by the Examination Syndicate and managed by the schools. Director-General of Education, Datuk Dr Khair Mohamad Yusof said each school was responsible for the set of questions which would be answered by the PT3 candidates and the possibility of the same questions being selected by the schools was remote.
“For instance, out of the 30 questions set by the ministry (Exam Syndicate), the schools might download one or two questions which are the same as those in the other schools,” he told reporters after conducting a survey of the PT3 Test conducted at the Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Sentul Utama here. He said the process of marking the PT3 written tests would be done by the school teachers themselves under supervision and verification by the district and state assessors.
On his survey of the PT3 in SMK Sentul Utama, Khair said he was satisfied with the preparation and implementation of the test. Also present during his visit to the school were Federal Territory Education Director, Datin Nawal Salleh and Principal of SMK Sentul Utama, Norsiah Yahya. A total of 453,413 students are sitting for the written test of PT3 at 2,608 exam centres throughout the country. Of this, 21,368 candidates are from the Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory, sitting for the test at 103 exam centres.
