KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 16 – Maybank to expand banking services to the POS Malaysia agent branch Tasik Chini, Pahang. Agent banking services allow customers to perform banking activities at the post office for the transaction of such cash deposits, cash payments, cash withdrawals than the monthly payment for a loan or financing, hire purchase and credit cards.
Senior Executive Vice President, Datuk Mohd Hanif Arabia, said Pos Malaysia outlets Tasik Chini is a banking agent to 347, began offering the service since last February and recorded an average of 500 transactions per month. He said Maybank agent in Tasik Chini is poised to reach 5,500 by the end of this year.
“The service provided is getting good response from the local community and each month we saw an increase in transactions primarily deposits,” he said in a statement here today.
Launch of banking agents in POS Malaysia Maybank branch of Lake Chini recently launched Assemblyman (Assembly) Tasik Chini, Datuk Abu Bakar Harun. Present, Director of the Department of Finance and Enterprise Development, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), Marina Kahar and Chief Operating Officer of the Commercial Code, Sloan KAMARUZZAMAN.
Mohd Hanif said, Maybank and Pos Malaysia are always trying to improve the services provided, other than in relation to the Bank to obtain the necessary feedback. Meanwhile, Sloan said, with a network of some 705 offices located throughout the country at the moment, POS Malaysia to provide customers easy access to a wide range of products and services at the front.
Banking agents Maybank-Pos Malaysia was first introduced in 2010 at the Post Office Muar, Pontian, Johor. It is part of Maybank’s initiative to provide banking services in rural areas that do not have any bank branches. Since its launch, the service was expanded to several states and provides services to more than 150,000 customers nationwide.
