KUALA TERENGGANU, Nov 16 – The 2014 Terengganu International Timber Exhibition (Tints) has created two new records in the Malaysia Book of Records Sunday. The four-day exhibition, starting last Thursday, was recognised as the biggest sales carnival for agarwood and the first international timber exhibition in Malaysia.

Tints was organised by the Malaysian Timber Industry Board, Terengganu Timber Industrial Training Centre and Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, with the support of the Terengganu Incorporated Sdn Bhd and Terengganu Entrepreneur Development Foundation. Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman signed a replica of the certificate of the Malaysia Book of Records, witnessed by its representative, Helilia Juana Hashim, at the closing of Tints at the Terengganu Trade Centre.

Also present was Plantation Industries and Commodities Deputy Minister Datuk Noriah Kasnon. Meanwhile, Noriah said Tints succeeded in gathering 50 companies in the timber sector and 16 companies selling agarwood, both local and foreign, including from Sri Lanka and Thailand, for the exhibition.
