KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 19 – A 26-year-old woman lodged a police report at the Dang Wangi police station here alleging she was slapped by a taxi driver for not giving him way during a traffic jam. According to her report, the incident occurred about 7.40am on Monday when she was driving from Bandar Manjalara to Jalan Raja Chulan through Jalan Angsoka. She claimed that there were vehicles parked on both sides of the road and suddenly she found herself face to face with a taxi from the opposite direction.
She said the taxi driver honked at her to give way and when she ignored it, the driver rammed into the front of her car. “The driver then alighted and walked towards me and slapped me on the right and left cheeks. “I tried to fight back, but could not as he was a man. I suffered injuries to my right cheek due to being slapped and also pinched,” she said in her report. She also alleged that her car bumper and bonnet were damaged when the driver rammed into her vehicle.
