There Are No 30,000 Bangladeshis In Camerons
CAMERON HIGHLANDS, Nov 20 – The Sultan of Pahang Sultan Ahmad Shah is sadden by news reports of some 30,000 illegal foreigners “capturing” Cameron Highlands. The ruler said there was no truth to such claims. “We do not have 30,000 (illegal) Bangladeshis here. “The news is very damaging to my rakyat,” he told reporters after a briefing at the district office here this morning.
Sultan Ahmad Shah spent more than two hours at the meeting, being briefed on what transpired in Cameron Highlands in the past one month. He said he was satisfied with the information given to him. The ruler was accompanied by Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob.
