JOHOR BARU, Nov 26 – A total of 4,811 Standard 6 students in the state who had seat for their Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah in September had aced the examinations, achieving straight As in all five subjects. However there was a dip in the percentage of the students in the state acquiring all As with 8.50 per cent this year compared to 9.62 per cent in last year results.

State education director Aminudin Adam did not ruled out that the dip in the percentage might have stemmed from the leak of questions on the four subjects namely English, Mathematics, Science and the Tamil Language.

“We will do a post mortem on the results and will identify the cause of the low percentage so that we can better improve the quality of education,” he said after announcing the results for UPSR students in the state at the Johor Education Headquarters in Jalan Tun Razak today.
