KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 29 – The Education Department will appoint 30,000 language teachers to fulfil the needs of a third elective subject in schools. Umno deputy president who is also Education Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin advised Malay students to take up especially Mandarin.
Muhyiddin pointed out Arabic, Mandarin, Tamil, French and Spanish language as those that being offered. He added that despite made available to students, many of them had yet to sign up for the lessons.
