QZ8501: Support Pours In For Family Of Malaysian Passenger
KUCHING, Dec 29 – As several nations mounted a search for the missing Indonesia AirAsia flight QZ8501, several individuals came forward to express their support for family of the sole Malaysian passenger on-board the aircraft. Among them was Sarawak campus Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) rector Professor Datuk Dr Jamil Hamali.
The wife of Sii Chung Huei, Associate Professor Annie Wong Muk Ngiik, is a senior lecturer in Faculty of Business and Management, UiTM Sarawak. “I am deeply saddened to hear about the missing (Indonesia) AirAsia flight QZ8501 on Dec 28.
“I believe the Indonesian government is doing their best with assistance from Malaysia and neighbouring countries in executing the search operations,” Jamil said in a statement today. He added similar to all other people, UiTM Sarawak hoped that there would be a positive outcome from the mission.
“My deepest sympathies are with Associate Professor Annie Wong, and the families and friends of all other passengers and crews of AirAsia Flight QZ8501 at this difficult time. “Our thoughts and prayers are with all the passengers and crews. May they all return home safely soon.”
