KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 1 – AirAsia Group chief executive officer (CEO) Tan Sri Tony Fernandes yesterday said he will accompany the casket of Indonesia AirAsia Flight QZ8501 crew Khairunnisa Haidar Fauzi, 22, to her hometown if her remains is identified.
His Twitter account @tonyfernandes, read that he would fly with Khairunisa’s parents back to Palembang. “If our beautiful and wonderful crew is identified, we will go from Surabaya to Palembang with her parents. Heart breaking, soul destroying,” he posted.
Khairunisa, also known as Nisa, was one of the flight attendants onboard QZ8501 which crashed into the Javanese sea on Sunday. It was reported that two weeks before the plane crashed, she had posted a picture on her Instagram account with the words “I love you from 38,000 feet”. The words were written on a paper napkin and stuck on the cabin window, with the aircraft’s wing and blue skies in the background. It is believed that the message was meant for her boyfriend, Divo.
