KUALA TERENGGANU, Jan 3 – With flood waters rapidly receding, Terengganu has begun cleaning up work. Related agencies, mainly the fire and rescue dept, have deployed their men to help volunteers in clean up efforts as school term is due to open within a week.

In Hulu Kemaman, SMK Tayor which was badly hit by flood just a few days ago was cleaned up by volunteers. The school is just one of the hundreds affected by the worst flood in years. In Kg Pinang Muda, Paka, firemen joined hands with other volunteers to clean up an old folk home. The occupants were relieved that the place they called home is being restored.
