SHAH ALAM, Jan 8 – Former FELDA Global Ventures Holdings Bhd group president and chief executive officer (CEO) Tan Sri Sabri Ahmad was described as an individual with strong integrity and a role model for the family. According to his brother, Datuk Mohd Zuhuri Ahmad, Sabri was a patient, intelligent and generous person.

“Even my studies was paid for by my brother,” he said. Mohd Zuhuri was met at the Ampuan Jemaah Mosque in Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam, after funeral prayers was held at 1.50pm Thursday. Also present were some 300 people comprising family members, friends and employees of FELDA Global Ventures Holding Berhad.

Sabri, the second of seven siblings, died at a private medical centre in Petaling Jaya at 5.30am Thursday due to lung cancer. He is survived by his wife and two daughters. His body was buried at the Bukit Kiara Muslim Cemetery. Sabri was also former CEO of Golden Hope Plantations Bhd and former chairman of the Malaysian Palm Oil Board.
