Immigration Dept Announces Reduction In Passport Renewal, Application Fees



KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 15 – The Immigration Department today announced that the new rate for Malaysian passport renewal and application has been reduced and that the two-year passport is no longer available effective today. Here is the list of the new passport renewal fee:

1) Ordinary applicants (13 to 59 years old)  – RM200

2) Senior citizens (60 years old onwards)  – RM100

3) Children (12 years old below)   – RM100

4) Citizens studying abroad (21 years old below) – RM100

5) Pilgrims      – RM100

6) Disabled      – Free

The notice of the latest directive was posted outside immigration offices on Thursday.
