PUTRAJAYA, Jan 20 – The Budget 2015 revision does not change allocations for national development announced in October last year, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said today. The RM48.5 billion development allocation is untouched so that projects which would benefit the rakyat in the long term can proceed, he explained.

Projects to be undertaken under this allocation include housing, flood mitigation, water and electricity supply and public transport. Major projects like the Pan Borneo highway, MRT second line, the LRT extensions and the KL-Singapore high-speed raid link will also proceed as planned, Najib added. To emphasise the need to focus on key national developments, he said that the 11th Malaysia Plan will be unveiled in May to outline expenditure planned until 2020.
