City Hall Collects RM6.1Million In Traffic Offences

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 22 – Traffic offences recorded nearly seventy per cent or RM6.1 million of the RM8.8 million collected by City Hall in compounds and related charges last year. About 13 per cent or RM1.1 million collected was also for general offences. This includes offences related to licensing, transportation of goods, usage of city parks as well as illegal dumping.

Related charges or towing, storing, seizing as well as removal of barriers also made up another 13 per cent or about RM1.1 in collection. On the spot compounds make up for the remaining four per cent of the collection which is about RM400,00. These compounds are namely for littering, spitting in public places and jaywalking.
