KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 22 – A former Astro Radio Sdn Bhd executive was charged at the Sessions Court with 35 counts of hacking into his former employer’s computer systems three years ago. D. Vishnu, 39, claimed trial to committing unauthorised access and modification on the company’s server which is located at Level 2, All Asia Broadcast Centre, Technology Park Malaysia, Bukit Jalil here.
He was alleged to have committed the offence between Oct 18 and 21, 2012. Deputy public prosecutor Nazrul Nizam Mohd Zameri told the court that in March, last year, the accused was charged with a similar offence and was granted RM8,000 bail.
He also proposed for the cases to be jointly tried and for the bail amount to be maintained. Judge Norsharidah Awang maintained bail and fixed March 27 for submission and to hear preliminary objection by the counsel. Vishnu was represented by Counsel A.G. Kalidas.
