KUALA LUMPUR, March 1 – A Tenaga National Berhad (TNB) employee succumbed to injuries after suffering burns from an explosion at a substation on Monday, Sinar Harian reported. According to the Malay daily, Norizan Abdullah, 59, was pronounced dead at 10.50pm last night by medical officials at Prince Court Medical Centre where he was treated from burns he suffered in the blast. “His body has been taken to Rembau for burial.
He is survived by two wives and 10 children, aged 10 to 32,” wrote the daily.Previous reports stated that Norizan, along with his two colleagues, Mohd Ruzairi Ghazali, 34, and Mohd Zaidi Mohd Syarif, 35, were conducting switch equipment exchange at a condominium in Taman Tan Yew Lai when the explosion occurred. All three suffered over 80% flashover burns. Mohd Ruzairi died on Wednesday. The other victim, Mohd Zaidi, was reported to be in a stable condition.
