PUTRAJAYA, April 3- The government has agreed to extend the appeal period deadline for the 1Malaysia People’s Aid (BR1M) 2015 from March 31 to April 15. Finance Ministry said in a statement today that the extension would allow those who could not submit their appeal to do so at the nearest Inland Revenue Board branches.
“The government has also agreed to make second payout of BR1M 2015 starting on May 28. “In total 7.28 million recipients have benefited from BR1M 2015 comprising 4.17 million of those from household earning less than RM3,000 and 410,000 earning between RM3,001 and RM4,000,” it added.
The other 2.7 million recipients, the ministry said were unmarried individuals, adding that the government had allocated RM5.3 billion for the BR1M programme. For any queries, the public can call the toll-free number at 1800-88-2716 or email to [email protected].
