TOKYO, May 30 – A magnitude of 7.8 earthquake has been struck 194 kilometres off of Japan’s coast which according to United States Geological Survey (USGS). The earthquake was hitting off Japan’s Bonin Islands. It have reportedly rocked the buildings in Tokyo as it built in intensity about 8:30pm local time (9:30pm AEST). The USGS reported that the epicentre was approximately 874 kilometres south of Tokyo in the Pacific Ocean. “Meanwhile, the earthquake had a magnitude of 8.5 at a depth of 590 kilometres,” said Japan Meteorological Agency.
