GEORGETOWN, May 30 – Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng having a press conference yesterday said Penang Government will continues to arouse dissatisfaction with the Federal Government allegedly overlooked the state as a “catalyst  growth of city” in the RMK11.

“The state even pays the most taxes after Wilayah Persekutuan and Johor but Penang still marginalized in the current development plan. Penang paid a total taxes of RM6.3 billion which directly or indirectly to Putrajaya last year. Wilayah Persekutuan paid RM109.6 bilion and Johor paid RM8.5 bilion,” said Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng.

“How much does we get back? We are also not in the list of RMK11 although Penang’s second largest city in the north, it still left out in the development plan. This shows that we are punished and marginalized because the land are being of PR not a part of the BN government. So, we are treated like stepchildren,” he added.
