KUALA LUMPUR, Jun 2 – The country’s first elevated electric bus service, Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) will begin on Tuesday. It will be ply a 5.4km route in and around Bandar Sunway here during the launched on Monday by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
This is the latest initiative to enhance mobility for commuters and reduce traffic congestion in the Klang Valley which particularly in the Bandar Sunway and Subang Jaya areas. The project was costed RM634 mil which it was collaborate between Prasarana Malaysia Berhad and Sunway Berhad.
“I believed that BRT system will be provided some relief from the traffic congestion In the area. Meanwhile, I also pleased to see that the project get a successful result for the partnership between the public and private sector. During the launched of the BRT, we will provide commuters an alternative transportation for free of charge on commuters in this two month,” said Najib.
