SINGAPORE, Jun 5 – The 28th edition SEA Games 2015 which is the region’s biggest multi-sport event was kicked off under the iconic dome of the new National Stadium with a lavish and hi-tech ceremony on Friday night. The 28th edition SEA Games 2015 is officially declared opened by Singapore President Tony Tan Keng Yam.
In the opening ceremony will be included a five-act, 40-minute show. This event was officially marks as the started of the June 5-16 Games that it will be see as a participation from about 7,000 athletes and officials from 11 nations. The performers were from he Singapore Soka Association, Singapore Dikir Barat Federation, Eurasian Association, and schools such as Methodist Girls’ School and Raffles Institution.
There was a total of 160 high-definition projects will be used to transforming the floor of the National Stadium into a massive screen that the records will be broken even before national sporting marks are re-written. It also will be the largest projection system used in any sporting event in the world to date.
Several past sporting legends from sports that also set to be included in the show are athletics, swimming, bowling and sailing. Meanwhile, there are also some of 402 golds medals in 36 sports are on offer at the event which it will be melded in the Olympic disciplines with lesser-known, regional pursuits and concludes on June 16.
