BUTTERWORTH, Jun 12 – If there were PAS and UMNO is cooperation and joined together, it will be a challenge for Chinese, said former MCA president Tan Sri Dr Chua Soi Lek after attending the maiden call of cargo ship MV Pulau Pinang at the North Butterworth Container Terminal (NBCT).
“If the two parties which is UMNO and PAS could unite, then the Chinese will be split at all. The people who had supported of PAS and DAP now will be discovered that the two were no longer the same party. For PAS, it has been created a challenge to its own party members which having to made a decision to break off with DAP,” said Tan Sri Dr Chua Soi Lek.
“I’m shocked that during the Penang Chief Minister said that PAS is not needed in Penang and they can resign, it does jot effected the State Government. Meanwhile, I also have said before the election that in political, the possible will becomes the impossible and the impossible becomes possible, the people who can’t work together suddenly embrace each other and kiss each other but there are no people believe me yet laughed at me,” he said.
“There are no harm for UMNO and PAS work together because I am sure that UMNO is always sensitive. Being the chairman and president of both UMNO and Barisan Nasional, our prime minister is the most sensitive to the aspirations, expectations and sensitivities of the non-Muslims,” he added.
Tan Sri Dr Chua Soi Lek said that BN has been in the government for so long. They knows more what the non-Muslims likes and dislikes but PAS probably doesn’t know. Lastly, I hoped that after PAS joins UMNO will get to help to reduce some of the sensitive things that PAS talks about.
