KUALA LUMPUR, July 7 – The Meteorological Department expected that the strong southwesterly winds and rough seas will be persist in the waters off Sabah (Kudat), Phuket, Condore, Reef North, Layang-Layang, Palawan and Sulu until this coming Wednesday.
In the statement of Meteorological Department said that the strong southwesterly will speed of between 50-60 kilometres per hour (kph) and the waves will be up to 4.5 metres. It was dangerous to all shipping and coastal activities, including fishing and ferry services.
Besides that, the Meteorological Department expected that the strong southwesterly winds will speed of between 40-50 kilometres per hour (kph) and the waves will be up to 3.5 metres in the waters off Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Sarawak (Miri), Sabah (Interiors, West Coast), Labuan and Reef North until this coming Wednesday. It was dangerous to small boats, as well as sea recreational and sports activities.
