GEORGETOWN, July 13 – The operator of Rapid Penang bus services (Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd) having an internal investigation  into an incident that saw a bus crash into a shophouse in Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling on Saturday. The incident was happen on Saturday at 9:15pm that the bus driver went out of control and crashed into a shophouse in Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling which injuring three passengers.

Rapid Penang chief operating officer Major (Rtd) Mohd Shukri Abdul Rahman said in a statement here which the company will give full support to the authorities on the accident and will providing the necessary assistance to the injured passengers. All three passengers were been taken to Penang Hospital for treatment with one being warded. Meanwhile, the passenger were also expected to be discharged yesterday.

“We also will made a quick check on our bus driver, Sahibul Fadhlan who has been been working for five years with over 12 years of experience which having a good working and driving track record. Lastly, we are currently still conducting an internal investigation and the bus also been towed out and sent to its depot,” said Shukri.
