GEORGE TOWN, Aug 5 – A 33-year-old Indonesian woman had marriage to a guy who having two sons at Jelutong, Penang. The neighbour discovery that she was often beaten his two stepsons which eight-years -old and five-year-olds. Therefore, the neighbour took a report to the Ministry of Welfare.

Welfare Ministry officials came to inspect the rear contact police and Monday afternoon had taken the two children to General Hospital Penang for the injury assessment. In the same time, the Welfare Ministry had also detained the suspects in Monday evening.

Eldest son told the police said he was beaten by his stepmother with using stone pestle due to he was accidentally lost the money that given by his stepmother. The two children was led by the police to General Hospital Penang for their injury assessment Monday afternoon.

“In the preliminary findings, the 8-year-old eldest son right eye had bruises. Besides that, there were also had a scar on the eldest son head and right hand. Meanwhile, the 5-year-old son was just diagnosed with scarred on the back of the head. Besides that, two children are currently having the treatment in General Hospital Penang,” said Welfare Ministry.

 

Police had taken the two children to General Hospital Penang on Monday 2 pm at the suspect house which located Pangsapuri Indah, Jelutong. The 33-year-old Indonesian suspects was detained at 8pm to assist in the investigation. Police was invoke the 2001 Children Act section 31 (1) to investigate the case today which Penang civil court was also extend the detention for three days.
