KUANTAN, Sept 14 –Pahang Education Department to advise students in this country to wear the masks to school especially those suffering from health problems in order to wear masks to school due to the haze. Pahang Education Department Director Datuk Rosdi Ismail said all schools in the state is still operating normally and no instructions have been issued to limit outdoor activities. 

He said they continue to monitor student activities while District Education Office also reminded to take precautions if the haze worsened. Meanwhile, the Chairman of Sabah Tourism and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Sharkar Shamsuddin called for steps to overcome the haze is done immediately because it also affected the tourism industry in the country. He said that the haze problem is not new but has taken place over the years.

“The parties involved can take appropriate measures such as discussions with the government to avoid this problem continues. Tourism products in Pahang involve outdoor activities while people are advised to reduce outdoor activities when there were haze. The he haze also caused foreign tourists who are already in the country, unable to enjoy their holiday even issued a sum of money,” he added.
