KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 6 – UMNO secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor told the reporters on Monday that “Six or seven” UMNO leaders are being monitored as they are seen as trying to bad-mouth the party and government. He said if action must be taken against the several UMNO Leaders, they will submit an investigation paper to the Disciplinary Board as they do not have the power to impose any action against them.
“I refused to name the leaders concerned. In the same time, I also would like to urged former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad not to meddle in the government’s administration of the country. The government did not need outsiders to interfere in every issue relating to the country’s administration as it had its own way of dealing with them. Dr Mahathir is retired. Enough is enough. Let the government to resolve the problems. However, I respect his views,” said Tengku Adnan.
