KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 23 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak who is also Finance Minister announced today that the minimum wage in Peninsular Malaysia will increase from RM900 to RM1,000 per month. For Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan, he said there was a minimum wage will be increased from RM800 to RM920 per month involving all sectors except for domestic services and maids. The new minimum wage will come into effect in July next year. He said this during the tabling of the 2016 Budget in the Dewan Rakyat.
