GEORGE TOWN, Nov 20 – The Penang State Government will not fire PAS Assemblyman, Datuk Salleh Man Mat Aji due to its openness expressed which to support for the leadership of the Pakatan Harapan. Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said the Penang government never severed ties with PAS but only broke with the Islamist party president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang.

“In this case, there is no issue of favoritism. This is because, Permatang Pasir Assemblyman (Salleh Man) openly admitted that he is loyal to the support the Pakatan Harapan. While he is still a member of PAS, but he will be ready to defend the leadership of the Pakatan Harapan,” said Lim.

Lim, who is the assemblyman for Air Putih, was replying to a supplementary question from Datuk Mohd Zain Ahmad (BN-Penaga) on the position of Salleh Man which Salleh Man supporting to the Pakatan Harapan although the PAS was now a opposition party in the state.

Besides that, Mohd Zain also questioned the state government which sacked 300 members Community Development and Security Committee (JKKK) Parliament Kepala Batas for not supporting the state government. Lim said the 300 members PAS in JKKK stopped their services due to not to  join the state government as Pakatan Harapan while Salleh Man emphatically declared his loyalty to the state government under Pakatan Harapan.
