KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 7 – Preparations for the 2015 UMNO General Assembly which begins on Wednesday with the meetings of Wanita, Youth and Puteri wings, is near completion. UMNO executive-secretary Datuk Abdul Rauf Yusoh said preparations for the opening ceremony of the assembly on Thursday was 90 percent completed.
He said the changes had lined-up include an up tempo version of the song “Melayu Bersatu” by a choir of 32 students of the Faculty of Music, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM). He said this after witnessing a full dress rehearsal at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) here, Sunday. The rehearsal included the UMNO flag raising ceremony, Sang Saka Bangsa, a parade inspection and a choir presentation. A total of 2,762 delegates will attend the assembly on Thursday.
