KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 10 – There was no choice but to reshuffle the Cabinet earlier this year although knew that the decision would upset some leaders in the ruling party, said UMNO president Datuk Seri Najib Razak. Najib, who is also prime minister, said the move was done to ensure that his Cabinet would comprise only of leaders who are loyal and united when helping him in his duty of running the administration.

He said this was the time on basic of the friendship while I also won’t making any decision that would be harmful. Najib said this during his policy speech to delegates at the UMNO general assembly 2015. Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal were both are axed from Cabinet in a surprise of the reshuffle several months ago which they are ostensibly due to their criticisms on 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB). Najib lastly aded that in the name of survival and for the interest of the party, actions were be taken and it had to be done with a heavy heart.
