GEORGE TOWN, Dec 12 – The 175 years old of Makam Dato Koyah building which located at Jalan Transfer, in the middle of George Town, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, will be restored again as another of heritage monuments in the State. The building of Makan Dato Koyah was clarified as heritage catogory 1 building by George Town World Heritage incorporated.

Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said he will be contributed RM100,000 through the MMK Heritage under his portfolio to begin work on the restoration of Penang’s heritage, while the total of allocations from the Central Government. He said this when he was visiting to the Makam Dato Koyah building here on Friday

Also present were the Executive Council for Religious Affairs, Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, Dato ‘Abdul Malik Abul Kassim and Local Government, Traffic Management and Flood Mitigation, Chow Kon Yeow to the 175 years old of Makam Dato Koyah building here Friday.
