Gold Shop Loses RM80,000, Robbed By Two Men Using Hammers



KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 19 – A gold shop at Jalan Maxwell, Rawang near here, incurred losses of about RM80,000 when robbed by two individuals armed with hammers yesterday. Gombak police chief ACP Ali Ahmad said in the 3.20pm incident, the two suspects, who were wearing helmets and gloves, entered the shop and started smashing the glass of the jewellery display cabinets.

“During the incident, four female shop assistants were in the premises. Both suspects then fled on a motorcycle parked not far from the scene. The shop assistants were not injured, and there were no customers when the incident occurred,” he said in a statement here on Friday.
