Tawfiq: Country Needs Quality Human Capital For Brighter Future

TAWAU, Dec 21 – The country will face major problems if it fails to produce quality human capital for the continuity of excellent leadership, says Sabah Youth and Sports Minister, Datuk Tawfiq Abu Bakar Titingan. In this regard, he said, efforts to empower youths would be the top priority of current leaders to ensure they continue the dynamic leadership capable of strengthening the sovereignty and glory of the nation.

“This is a challenge to the younger generation to take on their roles and responsibilities in the country, as a weak future generation without knowledge and vision will not help the nation progress,” he said at the Tawau Zone Youth Transformation Camp in the San Shui National Service Camp Sunday.

Tawfiq, who is also Apas state assemblyman said to be effective, the younger generation needed to have resilience and self-esteem and must avoid unhealthy activities. A total of 112 participants from Semporna, Kunak, Lahad Datu and here are attending the programme which began on Dec 17.
