KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 29 – The Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi on Monday had been reminded that the people against being easily influenced by information on 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) obtained from dubious sources.
“We should not judge based on information that comes from unauthenticated sources. I think we should leave it to the investigating body in Malaysia so that the truth will be known. I believe what the authorities are doing should be accorded a high level of integrity for us to place reliability on the agencies concerned,” he told reporters after closing the ‘Priority Declaration 2016: Economy is our Priority’ event here.
Ahmad Zahid was asked to comment on allegations on 1MDB published by a news portal. He said the authorities were conducting an investigation into the government strategic investment company and the Public Accounts Committee was also scrutinising it. Do not depend on information that comes from dubious external sources, he added.
