GEORGE TOWN, Jan 22 – Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin fought his way into the Grand Prix (GP) Gold Malaysia Masters semifinals after beating tournament’s eighth seed, Angus Ng Ka Long of Hong Kong at the Arena Spice, here, today. He took 36 minutes to defeat his opponent 21-11, 21-15 in the quarterfinals match. He said he feel happy that he may in straight sets to move into semifinals. 

“I had the confidence but was tired after the sapping match yesterday so coach Hendrawan gave me a pep talk which turned out to be effective. I know Angus also badly wanted to win, so I continued attacking especially in the last set. Besides, I think he had difficulties guessing my style. Meanwhile, I also hopes to meet second seed K. Srikanth of India in the semi-final due to I had play against him at the India Open previously. So, I hope to meet him again,” Iskandar told reporters, here, today.
