Signing Ceremony Between Berjaya Land Development Sdn Bhd And Ban Soon Aik Construction Sdn Bhd For Infrastructure Works

GEORGE TOWN, Feb 3 – Berjaya Land Development Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Berjaya Land Berhad (“B-Land”), today signed an agreement with construction company Ban Soon Aik Construction Sdn Bhd for the infrastructure works of Parcel 1 also known as Kensington Gardens. The earth works and excavation had began in December 2015 and is scheduled for completion in May 2017.

Kensington Gardens is the first parcel to be developed out of the 3 parcels in Jesselton Villas. Kensington Garden consists of 69 units of bungalow lots ranging from 5,995 sq.ft to 9,634 sq.ft in size. The project has an estimated gross development value of RM321 million.

Also present were Director of Berjaya Land Development Sdn Bhd, Victor Leong Guan Yeong; Executive Director of Berjaya Land Berhad Eason Phan Yoke Seng; Director of Ban Soon Aik Construction Sdn Bhd, Ooi Guo Chean and Managing Director of Ban Soon Aik Construction Sdn Bhd, Ooi Ah Soon.

Eason Phan said in his speech at signing ceremony here that Kensington Gardens enjoys the prominence of being Georgetown’s most distinguished and finest residential spot. He said once completed, it will feature beautiful green landscapes bearing Terrace, Ridge, Turf and Lakeside themes, crafting a sophisticated space for residents to enjoy the best of nature right outside their homes.

In the meantime, he also added that the development will also incorporate the finer elements of communal living, making the best use of space, walkability and connectivity with carefully designed walkways and bicycle lanes, encouraging a healthy lifestyle among its residents.
