PUTRAJAYA, Feb 6 – Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today wished a Happy Chinese New Year to all Malaysians. In a statement, he also expressed hope that the solidarity among the people would be strengthened despite their religious and cultural differences.
“I am confident that this year’s Chinese New Year celebration is more joyful with the lion and dragon dances and the sounds of firecrackers. I also hope the Chinese New Year to be celebrated on Monday (Feb 8) will see the start of good things in life,” he added.
