About 30 Protesters Protest At Guan Eng’s CNY Open House

GEORGE TOWN, Feb 8 – About 30 protesters from non-governmental organisation (NGO) Persatuan Muka Buku Pulau Pinang had hold a peaceful demonstration with carrying ‘RM1.2 billion’ placards caused a stir outside SPICE Arena during Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng Chinese New Year open house here this morning.

“We demanded Lim to answer the allegation by former DAP member Mohamed Razali Abdul Rahman that DAP had received political funding of RM1.2 billion from Israel. If the allegation is untrue, Lim must take legal action on Razali to prove that he did not took RM1.2 billion from Israel,” said a protest leader, NGO Persatuan Muka buku Pulau Pinang secretary Muhsin Lateef.

Razali, who claimed that DAP being offered RM1.2 billion in return for an Israeli military base in Penang, if the opposition managed to won in the last general election. Last year, Lim has denied that Razali was his special officer and also denied the allegation of political funding from Israel and has described it as ‘mere slander’ in several reports.
