PAC Chairman: Tabling Of 1MDB Final Audit Report To PAC Postponed
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 23 – The tabling of the final audit report of the Auditor General on 1Malaysia Development Berhad to the Public Accounts Committee scheduled for Feb 24 and 25 has been postponed, according to PAC chairman Datuk Hasan Arifin.
He said the postponement was necessary because many of the PAC members were overseas, a few performing the ‘umrah’ (minor Haj) and others attending to important commitments. He said it is important for all PAC members to be present when the final report is tabled by the Auditor General. He said this in a statement today.
Hasan said the new date for the tabling of the report was expected to be in the first week of March. The PAC had emphasised that it was according priority to the tabling of the report by the Auditor General and completing the PAC report for tabling in Parliament in a transparent and just manner.
