GEORGE TOWN, March 20 – Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said he was very disappointed that Shabudin didn’t dare accept his invitation to meet on this morning to show the evidence of his allegations in Parliament that he (Guan Eng) have been involved in corrupt practices.
“I’m willing to hear arguments and review any evidence that he held in the meeting. I will write a letter to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) so that a new investigation on the purchase bungalow in Jalan Pinhorn conducted in a fair, independent and professional,” Lim said.
Lim has given to about 30 members of the press a tour of his RM2.8 million bungalow at Pinhorn Road. The press were just allowed to take videos at the compound with pictures only inside his house. Lim personally showed reporters around the property. The two-storey bungalow purchased DAP secretary-general in July last year, via bank loans of RM2.1 million and RM700,000 by cash.
